Ok... so I want you to read every word of this in your best - or worst - "Bueller... Bueller... Bueller" voice you got. Why? Cause I'm typing it that way, while my head is tilted to the side in a little I-d-g-a-f way and it's not towards blogging at all. Promise. I just feel like being a total asshat.
My head is pounding, my neck feels like someone sat on it all night, I'm overly pissy, and I just wanted to share that I'm in complete "Grouchy Cat" mode today. MEOW! HISS! No, I'm not PMSing and it's nothing to celebrate.
However, I have a list of stuff that is...

VikLit @ Scribblings of an Aspiring Author weekly Meme Celebrate the Small Things is here!
Go check her out and all the other bloggers to find out what else is going on in bloggerville.
Go check her out and all the other bloggers to find out what else is going on in bloggerville.
- I finished Drought by Pam Bachorz which hasn't gotten very great reviews (that I have read) but I LOVED it. I laughed and cried, teared up and got angry. This book had some religious aspects to it for a dystopian novel which I wasn't expecting but it was good! I highly recommend it. But don't get mad at me if the ending isn't what you wanted but I thought it was the perfect touch if you ask me.
- Getting the finishing touches on this blog Jackie and I are co-blogging together. Alright so I have mentioned it a few times. Well here are some deets...
- Stop by Monday, yes Monday at either Jackie's blog, Bouquet of Books, or the one you're at right now because Monday is the LAUNCH DAY for our NEW BLOG!!
- Come Monday and you will be directed to the NEW BLOG (name and link revealed then).
- All 3 blogs - Bouquet of Books, Entertaining Interests, and "NEW BLOG" will all be participating in Alex J. Cavanaugh's Top 10 Movie Countdown Bloghop.
- What's going on today and next week and what is BLOG BLITZ?...

Fests, A to Z, and Express Yourself Updates
G’day to you on this fine Wednesday!
Lots of news today so let’s get rockin’ shall we…
MARCH HOPS / FESTS
March 1st M. Pax, Suze, and Nicki Elson, for the Back From the Future Blogfest.
March 21st David Macaulay and Mina Lobo are hosting The Big Reveal
These are the only Fests I'm doing for the month of March. I need to finish my April posts and other projects that are coming up.
A to Z CHALLENGE and INFO
April is approaching and most of us know what that entails - #atozchallenge! Check out Blogging from A to Z Challenge blog for all the updates and on Twitter @AprilA2Z
Also follow all the co-hosts:
- This year I volunteered to be a minion. I was lucky enough to be picked by a co-host I know and follow and enjoy – but I am waiting for her to make the announcement herself before I do. I can't wait to see what our badge looks like. So far - what I've seen - the badges are pretty cool looking for each group!
- I got so excited that I created a sub-header just for the April challenge. Yes it gives away the best part of my challenge topics but that’s the best part. I really wanted something that blatantly lets everyone know what I am presenting each day thru the month of April - if they miss The Big Reveal blogfest I mentioned above.
- they know right off the bat what I’m doing
- visitors can decide to keep reading my posts or skip it – no hurt feelings
- and, well, I think it’s rocks
- Turn off your CAPTCHA! I have blogged about this recently and it cannot be stressed enough - at least for the month of April. I promise Blogger will catch the spammers.
- Also, Shannon posted about adding a Hyperlink Signature to your comments. This makes returning a comment faster and easier. Check it out and see if it is something that you would like to add to your routine during A to Z.
EXPRESS YOURSELF MEME
Throughout April, Jackie and I will be continuing our Express Yourself Meme. How? We are not quite sure yet but we will keep you posted and we promise it will be easy. Perhaps as simple as: What is your favorite letter this week? Easy, right? Right!
You want to join? Click on the Tab above and sign up - it's a one time sign up.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! Or Do They
Victoria and Jaycee are at it again! Their "Oh, My Hero!" Blog Hop was such a huge hit; they have decided to grace us with yet another awesome bloghop! Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! Bloghop is today.
How it Works: Interview a heroine of your manuscript, novel, or WIP by a fellow female counterpart also from one of your written works. Your featured heroine can be interviewed by her best friend, a heroine from another one of your written works, a sister, the opportunities are endless!
Well I have two heroines: twins; Reese and Rena. These names may seem familiar ‘cuz I have written about them before on several posts.
Reese is from the 21st century while Rena is from the 19th century. So how are they twins, well I guess you'll have to buy the book when I'm done with it... whenever that might be. Also, when you see the word flash, it doesn't mean to lift your shirt.

“For crying out loud, it’s hot out here! Why did you say you needed to meet me?”
“I didn’t say, but really Rena, can’t you do anything without complaining?”
“Uhm. No. It’s in my nature. If I'd known you were taking us to the Mojave Desert I wouldn’t have worn my petticoat.”
“I don’t know why you wear that hideous thing anyways. It’s so ugly. Besides I wanted to talk. Aren’t you interested in getting to know me at all?”
“Reese, we may be sisters, but that doesn’t mean I’m automatically curious about you. We grew up in two totally different worlds –”
“Literally.”
“Don’t interrupt it’s rude. And stop twirling your hair. It’s annoying. Like I was saying, I’ve lived without you for seventeen years so getting to know you now seems pointless. Plus, I really don’t do girl talk.”
“Who says I brought you out here to talk about boys? Maybe I just want to spend time with you.”
“Really? So you don’t want to know what kind of guy I fancy?”
“Well since you brought it up. What kind of guy do you fancy?”
“How do you know if I even like guys?”
“What! Do you like girls then?”
“If the right one comes along.”
“So your –”
“Bisexual? Yes.”
“Huh. So have you ever –”
“Had sex with one? No, I’m attracted to them on an emotional level. Oh my Lord. You don’t mind if I take my boots off? I have, like, a pound of sand in them.”
“Do whatever you want but please keep your shirt and tights on. Why did you wear all of this crap anyways?”
“Put my coat down! I assumed when you said picnic you were thinking Niagara Falls or someplace comfortable. I didn’t think you’d flash us out here.”
“Thank Jeezus I didn't do Niagara Falls! Since you fancy girls and all. I wouldn’t want you thinking I was hitting on you.”
“Ha ha very funny. I like guys too you know.”
“What’s your type? I’m thinking mean, bar brawling, peg-legged.”
“Screw you Reese. I like someone who’s smart, looks sexy in a kilt –”
“Kilt!”
“Damn, don’t choke on your food. You heard me. A kilt. And if he is missing a leg I hope he replaces it with a mechanical one. The only wood I want him sporting is–”
“Yeah! Yeah! I get! Sheesh, for someone who doesn’t like to do girl talk you sure are chatty.”
“Uh, wha-, oh whatev. What about you? What kind of guy do you like?”
“My lips are sealed.”
“I didn’t say, but really Rena, can’t you do anything without complaining?”

Bloghops and Blogger
First lets give some shoutouts to bloghops!!!
Amy Sonnichsen and Christa Desir are hosting My So Called Teenage Life bloghop today. I was seriously thinking about doing this one. I dug up some old photo books and senior albums but to my dismay there was nothing. Let’s be honest... if you know me, you know I'm not highly sentimental. I never kept a diary cause I never wanted it to be discovered. Should we say I was never the... uhm... good child. I'm just gonna put it out there…
I was the overachieving, cheerleading, vodka drinking, pothead. Yup I said it. POTHEAD. What’s a girl to do? My brother grew up knowing how not to get caught. I chose ALL the wrong guys. Did ALL the stupid stuff no one else would do. And was ALWAYS blamed for the stuff I actually didn’t do. Am I proud - NO! But I can't deny it was a part of my life. Teenagers! Ugh!
My poor kids can’t get away with anything. Such as life.
So even if I did keep a journal or diary; I most likely wouldn’t have remembered what happened anyways.
Moving on…
Tomorrow is Jaycee’s and Victoria’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! Bloghop!
I’m overly excited and have my post all ready to go. It was done on Monday!
Then on the 30th of June Melinda Dozier is hosting How We Met Bloghop.
Share the story of how you met your significant other, be it your husband, boyfriend or partner, in 100 words or less.
Make sure you go visit Melinda for the deets to this hop!
And finally; over at Falling For Fiction aka FFF (or as a co-worker thought it stood for -Fine F*&%ing Females – and thanks to him, it’s stuck). They are hosting Hookers & Hangers Blogfest July 16th & July 18th
We all know how important the first and last lines are in every chapter. This blogfest will hopefully get your HOOKERS and HANGERS polished making it impossible for readers to put down your book and leaving them begging for more!
NOW!!! I have one thing to say about Blogger… why in the same H. E. Double Hockey Sticks doesn’t this dang thing have spell check? I mean, if it does, I don’t know how to get it to work. It’s a huge pain in my butt. Yes I am one of those who strongly rely on it. It’s a crutch. I spell how I talk so sometimes my words end up all wonky. Ya know?!
It has been bugging me - well since I started blogging but I've had enough. LMAO!
Ok done with that.
Have a great Thursday!

Jaycee @ Jaycee DeLorenzo awarded me the Stylish Blogger Award!
For this one, we’re supposed to share the last time we dressed up.
I dress up every day for work but the last time I actually wore something uber fabulous would have been for … well … probably my company’s Christmas party.
I award everyone that doesn't have either of these. Awards have been flying around the blogosphere lately and I can't keep up of who got what.

Thanks to both of you for thinking of me. You both Rock with your C-- nope, you don't have one of those. So I guess you both Rock B-- nope, you don't have those either... hmmmm. You know where I'm going with this. Right?!
Don't forget our upcoming Bloghop June 12th and 14th!
Jackie @ Bouquet of Books and I are hosting the First Fight/First Kiss Blogfest
Why is it perfect?
While Jackie adores the kissing and hand holding scenes, I’m the “give me fat lips and magical dueling any day of the week” type girl, the bloodier the better. Though Jackie also likes fight scenes; I HATE to write love scenes. I find it difficult to get in touch with my soft side. This blogfest forces many of us to work on other scenes that we may not like and make them shine.
Also what happens after a good argument? - Making up!
Share your 1st FIGHT and 1st KISS scenes in your MS’s or WIP’s. Crack open your current project or dive back into an old one. We want to feel what your characters feel. From the sting of their first fist-to-the-face to the tingling taste of their first kiss.
If you’re not a writer, please share with us your real life firsts. We want to read and experience them all!
If you’re not a writer, please share with us your real life firsts. We want to read and experience them all!
The First Fight/First Kiss blogfest will go as such:
- Post 1 will be on Tuesday, June 12 - Share with us your 1st FIGHT scene on your blog. It can be physical or verbal, fists or magic, vampires or zombies, fictional or non-fictional. Whichever you want to share.
- Post 2 will be on Thursday, June 14 - Share with us your 1st KISS scene on your blog. It can be a peck on the cheek or a full fledge kissing session. Whatever you would like to tell us.
Details for the First Fight/First Kiss blogfest:
- Follow Jackie @ Bouquet of Books & myself if you haven’t already. (We will follow back)
- Sign up using the linky thingie below.
- Display the gorgeous First Fight/First Kiss Blogfest button on your blog. Go grab our button on the left sidebar.
- Post your 1st fight entry on June 12, 2012.
- Post your 1st kiss entry on June 14, 2012.
- Hop around to the other blogs and comment on their wonderful 1st fight and 1st kiss scenes.
Prizes? Absolutely! Jackie and I will each pick our favorite scene from each day. That’s 4 prizes total, folks. What are the fabulous gifts for the winners? $10 email-giftcards to Amazon or Barnes & Noble so you can choose that book you’ve been wanting or download it to your Kindle or Nook.

No A to Z post today... Bloghops & Blogfests
I will be doing both Y and Z posts on Monday. Why? Today I am in need of relaxation and warmth. I'm getting a cold and its plain ol freezing outside and I can't turn on the fireplace because some damn robin planted her nest right on top of the exhaust outside (or whatever it's called). Not only that but ALL of my A to Z posts are at work and I have some good ones for Y and don't want to eff it up.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
See you all Monday for the last A to Z Challenge post.
::sad face::
But don't cry... Sara McClung is hosting a month long Monday - Friday blogfest for the month of May. Called ...
I know you are all thinking... Are you serious! Another month long bloghop? Yes I am. This one is very different from the AWESOME A to Z Challenge. It's more personal and a get-to-know your fellow blogosphere bloggers.
Then May 3rd, 5th & 7th is another bloghop
We've all had those manuscripts that we poured our heart into, fell in love with the characters and still think of them at random, but unfortunately had to shelf. Now it's time for a little spring cleaning. Take out those manuscripts and Dust It Off!
Post pics, tell funniest stories, and there are prizes!
No, oh no, I'm not done.
May 14th is...
It is what it says... Post about your firsts.
If you want/need the deets on these bloghops just click on the banners and BAM!

May 7th is A to Z Reflection day.
The following is from Blogging fron A to Z blogpage:
You can tell us what you thought were the highlights of your April Challenge,
what you learned, what changes you might make next time, or what surprised you
most. Let us know about special bloggers you met in your A to Z journey or
about a post or posts that especially moved or impressed you. There are no
limits as to what your Challenge experience might have been so tell us in your
best way how you felt about the April A to Z Challenge of 2012.
We do ask that you keep your posts no more than a thousand words. There will probably be a lot of blogs to read so we don't want to bog anyone down with exceedingly long posts.
As I've said, the Blogging from A to Z Challenge Reflections Posts of 2012 will start on Monday May 7th. The Linky list will go up on that day so you can enter the link for that post on the list. For those who already have blogfests or something else planned for that day, don't worry--the list will be open for the entire week so you can publish your Reflections post anytime that week and still participate. That list should also be accessible until the end of the year along with the A to Z Master List.
