This week we are posting - What are a few inspirational quotes you'd like to pass along to others?
I have 5 quotes I wanted to share. One pertains to writing; the others are life "lessons". I live by more of course. Everyday we are faced with ignorance, stupidity, superficiality, etc. I am constantly reminding myself and my children not to get caught up in the RAT RACE of it all.
And now for something fun and zombified! I'm one of those Daryl Dixon girlfriendsfans. Seriously - if this man walked in here right now - I'd literally keel over and need CPR from him and him only.
What Would Daryl Dixon Do? |
Great quotes. I especially like the writing one. *goes off to kick self-doubt in the butt!*
ReplyDeleteNice quotes. But I like the Daryl stuff even better! *fans face*
ReplyDelete"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." I definitely need to remember this one! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI loved your quotes Dani. I am always saying, "Don't mistake my kindness for weakness" because that happens to me ALL the time.
ReplyDeleteOne of my other favorite quotes- "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference" Winston Churchill. I think my kids know this one by heart now. LOL
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
I love the Sylvia Plath quote. It made me think of how my mother tried (and failed miserably) to make me write "what you know" instead of what I truly wanted to write. If everyone only wrote exactly what they had personal experience with, the literary canon would be so boring.
ReplyDeleteThe Dixon quotes were hilarious. Did you see the episode this season when the possum popped up and he just shot it and pretty much said 'dinner'. I like him too. And Sylvia Plath was a great poet. Don't Mistake My kindness for Weakness is actually the title and start of a local song in Jamaica. It's a nice song and it immediately popped in my head when I saw the quote.
ReplyDeleteLove your quotes...and all the Daryl stuff. He is AMAZING. haha. God that show is SO good. I just never know what they're going to do next. But I can't believe Lori died. And, when Rick fell apart the way he did I needed a whole box of tissue...
ReplyDeleteOn another note, hope you have a great, zombie-free Thanksgiving!!
I love the Zombie quotes! I totally agree with the one stating "Children should be taught how to think, not what to think!"
ReplyDeleteIt just says it all.
