  • And most of all - HAVE FUN!

Heroes

Indiana Jones - Who doesn't love an adventurous, whip wielding man that can bring you fortune and ... almost having your heart ripped out. Or killed in multiple ways.

Predator "Scar" from AVP - In other movies the Predators are usually the enemy, but in AVP "Scar" becomes a frenemy. I really REALLY like AVP and love "Scar" even more.

D'Leh from 10,000 B.C. - Talk about doing what you gotta do for love. I would never have made it thru that desert!

Villains

Gollum from LOTR - Vermin! He is vile. He is rotten. That guy - thing - creature just makes my stomach crawl. And when he hisses "presssshhhhiouuuussssss" I want to spew. But he's sooo good at it.

Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter - I literally want to Rip. Her. Tongue. Out. You love and live to hate that women. And that's the way it should be.

Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones - I would love to twist that boys tale in a knot. For being so young he is certainly purebred evil. He will get his. What a great young actor to be so perfect!

Heros or villains? You decide.

Ghost Rider - The demon who does good. What a twisted fate. Sold his soul to the devil but it didn't turn out the way the devil planned. Something about him makes me favor him very much.

Nightcrawler - Ever since I was little I really fell for this guy, er, mutant. A lot of people didn't like him though he was good. We shared the same last name even. Wagner pronouned Vagner but with a soft "a". I would LOVE to have his ability and I wouldn't mind the blue skin much either. It would hide a lot of flaws I think.

  1. Gollum was a great character - a villain you felt sorry for even as he did horrible things.

  2. I love Gollum. I was always hoping for something better for the little guy (even after I read LOTR several times and knew what would happen *sigh*).

Joffrey might be one of the heroes I've wanted to decapitate the most. My goodness that guy is pure filth. But yeah, so well-written ;-)

  3. Dr. Jones is always a great pick and it hadn't occurred to me about the Predator being the 'hero', but I guess they were!

As for Ghost Rider, he's the spirit of vengeance, so I think he's kind of 'half and half' as far as being 'heroic' goes.

Now, Nightcrawler is a true hero...even though people might shun him for his appearance, he's still out there, fighting to save their lives.

Great picks and thanks for hosting. Great idea for a hop :)

  4. Indiana Jones is a great hero!
Umbridge... I wanted her to feel what Harry did when she "inked" him. She was so wretched! Oh, and Gollum *ewww* is icky and creepy.
    Awesome picks, Dani!

  6. Indie - one of my all time favourite heroes, a mixture of brains and brawn!

I know what you mean about Umbridge, she makes my blood boil! Gollum splits my opinion, sometimes I feel so sorry for him and others he is more vile than anything else alive.

    Nice choices!

  7. OMG When I was reading the 5th HP book, I hated Umbridge. JK Rowling did a great job with her and in the movie, the actress did a great job portraying her.

  8. Aw, Joffrey. Perhaps the biggest dick character ever created. The actor that plays him on Game of Thrones is absolutely brilliant. The Husband and I always want to reach through the TV screen and knock him out!!

  9. I can't stand Dolores Umbridge!!! I have never hated a character so much. Kudos to JKR to not only give us such real characters to root for but others to loathe!

Thanks for doing this hop! I had so much I wanted to do I am diving it into parts today.

  10. Eugh, Joffrey. I hate that little brat. Also, Umbridge was a great choice, too!

  11. I've always loved Indiana Jones -- and Scar, yes, the enemy who becomes an uneasy ally is always a great theme in any fiction!

  12. Love Indiana Jones! He's definitely one of my favourite heroes. And if I could just grab that Joffrey round the throat ...

  13. I wish I had known about this blog hop, it looks like so much fun!

  14. Umbridge is deliciously evil and Gollum plays his part to perfection. You made a good list Dani.

  17. Good picks. Can't really give an opinion on Joffrey Baratheon as I don't read/watch Game of Thrones, but the rest ... spot on!

And Ghost Rider is totally a hero. As is Nightcrawler.

  18. Great picks Dani. And thanks for your reminder email yesterday. I'd spaced this bloghop. Glad I didn't miss out!

  19. I do love your Predator choice, and Gollum is THE best character in Lord of the Kings (though I'm not a fan of the movies, I do love that character). Writer’s Mark

  20. Ooh, Indie is a great hero!! Awesome choice.

And you had to do it; had to mention J...J...Joffrey. I honestly don't think I've despised a character as much as I do him in a long time. I CAN'T STAND HIM! Would somebody just ax him or something, already?!!!

Thanks for hosting a great blogfest. :)

  21. First of all I have to say, great topic for a blog fest :) Thanks for hosting it.

Second, love your choices. This is the second time I've seen Indie on a list so far - he is a truly great hero. I always feel so sorry for Gollum; he's lost so very much because the ring exploited him. He is a villain of the first order and yet I still cry when he dies. As for Delores Umbridge - hanging, drawing and quartering is too good for her!

  22. Great Picks and great blog fest.

I like Nightcrawler. I think he's misunderstood, but people (mutants) like that make for great characters :)

  23. Great picks! I like Nightcrawler too! And I can't believe I forgot Dolores Umbridge and Gollum - seriously nasty villians.

    Thanks for hosting this fest!

  24. Great choices! Nightcrawler was one of my favorites. :-)

  25. Great choices. I always did love Nightcrawler. Dolores Umbridge, what an unpleasant woman. I thought the actress who portrayed her in the film version did a fantastic job of bringing out how awful the character is.

  26. Nice picks for both heroes and villains!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thank you for listing Indiana Jones! Man, how can we forget awesomeness like that?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Indy!!!! Oh, I love Golum - one of the best characters ever. How can something so vile be so adorable too? It just ain't right.

Thanks so much for this fest - I'm late on my visits, but that just means I get to prolong the fun. ;)

  29. I must say that I consider Jay Gatsby a hero. I know, he's naive, but any man who can commit to a girl for longer than five minutes is a hero to me.
