Oh No, Let's Go... Crazy
Was reading now that Silverstein book to my kids each night and just read that tv one! He's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteOMG, love that Jedi squirrels. Totally made me LOL.
ReplyDeletePoor Jimmy Jet, foiled in his own contraption.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping at my blog.

Haha I love those squirrels! Awesome :)
ReplyDeleteJedi squirrels!! what has the world come to ;)
ReplyDeleteJedi Squirrels - AWSOME
ReplyDeleteCute poem, I had not read it before.
ReplyDeleteLove the Jedi squirrels too.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is obsessed with his tv too. *sighs* oh well...
Bahahaha, Jedi squirrels!!!
ReplyDeleteJedi squirrels I love it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom used this poem to discourage my T.V. watching and I have to say that it worked.
ReplyDeleteThose are GREAT! But I'm not going to let my kids see them. They'll want a pair as pets.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I will be joining the Jedi squirrels by the end of this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI think the girl in the cover is at peace.
And Jimmy Jet is good to teach little children a lesson about watching too much TV.
I never read the Jimmy Jet poem before. It reinforces my aversion to TV. :-) And Ohhhh nooooo, lol,not Ninja squirrels. :-) Nice "J" post. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love me some Shel Silverstein!
ReplyDeleteHappy A-Z!
BAhaahhah! Silly Jedi Squirrels are so funny.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Jet was always one of my favorite poems growing up :) Shel Silverstein is an amazing story teller, humorist and illustrator!
ReplyDeleteI still love those Jedi Squirrels. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI remember "Jimmy Jet." In my brain, I tend to get that one jumbled up with the Mike Teavee song from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." No doubt, Silverstein and Dahl were in one another's rolodexes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, returned the favor and will be back. Loved the poetry, strikes close to home, and the jedi squirrels. I think I see their cousins fighting in my yard.
ReplyDeleteThe Jedi Squirrels are really hilarious...
ReplyDeleteJedi squirrels really would be terrifying. There aren't many places they can't get to and they can be pretty sneaky as it is. Imagining them with light sabers.... yeesh.

We Are Adventure
Jedi squirrels = awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove the squirrels. They should all have light sabers.
ReplyDeleteIf squirrels were Jedi, that'd be it....there wouldn't be a safe walnut on the planet! :)
ReplyDeleteLeft and Write
When Jimmy goes number two does the show "The devil's ride" come out?
ReplyDeleteJimmy Jet...what a great poem :) Love it.
ReplyDeleteShe's waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up! :)
ReplyDeleteLove Silverstein! Good choice *checks backyard for Jedi squirrels*
ReplyDeleteGreat poem. There is a day or two that comes around that I could be him. Those are my veg/lazy days to clear my head of the other crazy/busy days. :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I think my relationship with squirrels is just fine. I'd be among the survivors of that revolt!
Great post! Thanks for visiting my blog and good luck with the rest of the A-Z Challange.
ReplyDeleteEbby
I love your poem. At first I didn't look closely at the illustration and I though Jimmy was one of the watchers. Then as I read, and looked again . . . fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my AtoZ.
