ReplyDeleteDude,
ReplyDeleteNo messing around... I *abhor* going to the dentist.. stems from a 1985 incident with a chain-smoking dentist, a VERY large needle and my crushed two front teeth...
Let the darn Croc eat... that's what I say!!!
That's great, I think we'd all love to get our own back on our dentists.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the crocodiles side with this one. Lol
ReplyDeleteI loved Crossed. Love the crocodile verse.

ReplyDeleteLOL the poor dentist. Those are words I never thought I'd write.

I'm a Silverstein fan too--Where the Sidewalk Ends is the book that I learn how to read with. I'd read the poems over and over until I was fluent and had many of them memorized--my favorite was 'Sick'.

ReplyDeleteLOL. So love Shel Silverstein. I spent hours reading his poems to my kids. Now my daughter carries one of his books in her pack as she hikes.

ReplyDeleteAnd may that be a lesson to all dentists who take that attitude to shoddy workmanship ;)
ReplyDeleteAli Condi's book "Crossed" looks amazing. I have it on my TBR pile.

I really hope you have a poem for every letter. I read his stuff countless times when I was younger and it is so great to read them again!

LOVE what you are doing for the challenge. Lots of fun! I wanted to be sure to stop by and follow under my new blog. This is Tamara from One Magic Bean Buyer btw (and the Shel Silverstein poems you posted was one of my faves, love him!) Anyway, now I'm at Behind These Pages, with my friend, Karen. (Hence the new name you'll see on my comments and in the follow box) Anyway, nice to see you again! I'll be back. :)
ReplyDeleteThe worst thing that can happen to me is having to go to the dentist. I'm like the croc, big mouth, too many teeth. Dragon dentists are scarce, though. I can't eat him.
ReplyDeleteLove it! :) <3 So much fun!
ReplyDeleteI loved Crossed! I just checked out Reached from my local library and am looking forward to reading it.
