Express Yourself is a weekly meme. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better, to help motivate one another, laugh (or cry) together, in other words – stalk.
July 11-15: If you could try one occupation for a day, other than your current job, what would you choose?
Hmmm, I guess I would say... a Survival Guide.
I've always wanted to sign-up for one of those classes to see how much I really don't know about survival in wilderness.
July 18-22: Name something you are looking forward to this summer.
1.) Well, we just got back from our family summer vacation to Treasure Island, FL. So that was the main thing I was looking forward too.
2.) I'm also happy the kids are out of school. I've always been one of those parents who actually love and enjoy their kids home for the summers. The other day when I was at the store, I got kind of depressed when I saw they had the school supplies out. :(
Next weeks EYM: What fashion trend do you wish would make a comeback?
**And don't forget to join us on Friday for our weekly FFF posts!!

Celebrate the Small Things - Valentines Day
Every week some of us like to share the small things that we have accomplished. Thanks Viklit for giving us an outlet!
Also, today we are Blog Blitzing VikLit so stop by and blitz the crap out of her!!
1. I made sure to not forget to get my Valentine's a little something. My husband and I working together (but different depts) and I put together a gift basket for him. Chips, his fave drink, cookies, and candy bars. You know... the healthy stuff.
2. After two days of my older kids staying home sick and a stomach bug, they made it out of bed and on their way to school. I see lots of make-up homework in their future.
3. I read 3 books since last Friday. My goal on Goodreads is 50 bks this year... I might have to up that number if I keep slamming them out of the park. I have so many TBRs, I can't stop myself. Plus I get a lot of "reading" done when I'm at work cause I listen to them, and then read an actual book in the evenings at home.
4. The forcast is showing a slight warm-up this coming week so 30some degrees is going to feel like a heat wave!
Hope everyone has an awesome and relaxing weekend!

Celebrate The Small Things
Every week some us like to share the small things that we have accomplished. Thanks Viklit for giving us an outlet!
The kids got to hang out with cousins and make Christmas crafts and had a really great time.
My daughter had a school dance and had her moldings done for her permanent retainers. She'll be braces free next month. Just in time for her birthday!
Almost done with my Christmas shopping. I only have to get a few giftcards and I'm done!
Last night my son lost his iPhone. We searched high and low. I told him that he might have left it on the bus and he argued and said I was wrong. This morning I told him to ask the bus driver for shits n giggles... low and behold, I get a text from him saying the driver had it. Score for me! Mom does know what she's talking about!! Let's hope when he starts driving in a few months he will listen to me then as well.
Tomorrow, after it snows 3-5 inches tonight, I have a 4 mile race in the morning. I'm not excited about running in snow. Ugh!
And on Sunday I'm going to watch the second installment of The Hobbit with a friend! So EXCITED!!
Have a great Friday!!

Express Yourselves all Around
Express Yourself is a weekly Meme dedicated to getting to know YOU better.
Jackie and myself what to know:
Who is someone you look up to? Even though he has been gone for 11 years, I still look up to the love my brother left behind. He left behind a community of people that loved him more than one man could ask for and that's because he loved people so much in return. And I look up to him for that.
I also look up to Jackie. She has never judged me even when I have done some stupid stuff. She has always been my steadfast, loyal friend.
And my kids. They show me everyday that great kids can still be born and raised. I love them with all of my heart. And of course I love my husband for helping me in life.
See who else is expressing themselves lately...
Father Dragon is honoring some of us with the Golden Scale Award...
and he even has a Dragon Hall of Fame!

Celebrating the Small Things
Ahhh, it's Friday! I can't believe it's here already! Woot! VikLit always puts on a great Friday celebration!
This week...
- I took some great pictures of the kids. I will buy the smallest package of school pictures so I have something but I will not pay the mega outragious prices for a large pkg when I can shot my own, create better pictures, and buy cheaper packages online. And most of the time I don't even like the ones the school takes. My kids hate them, their smiles are faked, their hair is out of control... it's stress free my way. Unless my teenage daughter is having a meltdown... then it's a pain in my bum! You can check my session with the kids here.
- I lost a few lbs last week and I can tell I've lost more inches... well, when I'm not bloated. Gawd, being a woman has its high points but it also has its lows. Like what's up with bloating?! I sit here thinking... What in the heck did I eat?! My face looks 5x fatter than this morning! Lawrd I need a better bra! It never ends! I am a very confident person but sometimes it would be nice to look in a mirror at noon and still look as good as I did when I left the house at 6:30am. I swear my mirror at home came from a carnival - it lies. UGH!
- Now that September is here, I'm getting SUPER EXCITED about Autumn!! October is my favorite month, during my favorite time of year, and hosts my favorite holiday! I have a ton of new Halloween decorating ideas I can't wait to start. Plus my little one has her birthday in Oct. and it takes every ounce of willpower not to decorate her birthday party with a Halloween theme.
- Next week keep a look out for the annual SPOOKTOBERFEST blogfest!!

Celebrate the Small Things
Ahhh, it's Friday! I can't believe it's here already! Woot! VikLit always puts on a great Friday celebration!
This week...
- The kids' paternal Grandfather had a quadruple bypass on Tuesday and hasn't been able to get out of ICU, so we have been sending extra prayers his way. I know that's not very happy news but I thought if my blogging friends could send some prayers his way, he might make a faster recovery!
- I had a dentist appt this week and I'm happy to announce that I'm cavity free!
- Kids seem to be having a good first week of school. My 15 yr old is taking Photography and Ceramics this year; I don't remember either being so dang expensive when I took them
18 yrs agonot that long ago. He not only needs a film camera (they are taking it old school) but a digital one as well. Thank goodness I know someone who knows someone. - Color Me Rad race is tomorrow! I. Am. So. Excited!
