Call of Duty Black Ops
Zombie cooperation mode, titled Zombies, is included in the game. Originally featured in World at War, it was revamped to be included into Black Ops. In the map Five, players take the roles of John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro as they fight zombies at The Pentagon. Ascension takes place in an abandoned Soviet Cosmodrome, and like Kino der Toten, features the characters from World at War. Escalation Map Pack is the Zombie map Call of The Dead. Call of the Dead takes place in an abandoned part of the Soviet Union, in which is in an arctic environment. This map features new characters. They are: Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Michael Rooker. Rezurrection is made up of only zombie maps. The Rezurrection Map Pack includes the first 4 maps from Call of Duty: World at War (Swamp, Night, Asylum, Factory) and a new map called Moon.
My kids are addicted to this game, even my two year old daughter!

2010 American horror film, remake of the 1973 film of the same name by, who other, George A. Romero.
The film takes place in the fictional town of Ogden Marsh, Pierce County, Iowa, promoted as the "friendliest place on Earth," whose town water supply is accidentally infected with the Trixie virus. After an incubation period of 48 hours, this virus gradually transforms the mental state of the infected into that of emotionless, conniving, debauched, ferocious killers, who then prey on family and neighbors alike.

Centres of Faith
(Gamla Uppsala)
The Germanic tribes rarely or never had temples in a modern sense. The Blót, the form of worship practiced by the ancient Germanic and Scandinavian people, resembled that of the Celts and Balts. It occurred either in sacred groves, at home, or at a simple altar of piled stones known as a "horgr." However, there seem to have been a few more important centres, such as Skiringssal, Lejre and Uppsala. Adam of Bremen claims that there was a temple at Uppsala with three wooden statues of Odin, Thor and Freyr.
The Crazies is such a creepy good movie!
ReplyDeleteBlack Ops is my oldest fave game. It's funny listening to him and his friends through the headset, especially when they play tricks on each other. LOL
Crazies was good. Can't for a sequel, I mean the way they ended it, it just has to continue! Right?
DeleteThe crazies was crazy! Lol my son plays that game, call of duty, all the time.
ReplyDeleteSo does both of mine. Even my daughters love that game.
DeleteWow, I haven't heard of any of these things either. I feel so out of touch. Clive Barker is cute though...
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the list of Harry Potter charms and such!
ReplyDeleteThat list took me a while but I think I got them all.
DeleteZombies in Call of Duty? Well that makes me hate the franchise a little less. And that's an impressive list of charms from the H.P world. :D
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing at first. ugh another war game, but then the kids showed me the zombie games and I about died!
DeleteNow that was quite the charms list for the Harry Potter world. I also should read more book by Barker. The only I read by him Abarat. That was an interesting read..:)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYou have to have a certain state of mind to read his books. You wither like them or you don't.
I love that you listed all those charms!

Thanks! I think I might have an obsession. lol
DeleteWow! That is quite the list!
ReplyDeleteYour post was insane! LOVED IT!
ReplyDeleteLol. Thanks! I love this challange.
DeleteI'm still fascinated by all things Norse and charming ;)
ReplyDeleteNorse mythology is very interesting. I've loved mythology ever since I was a little girl and my dad had this book about the solar system and it also showed the various Gods that they represent.
DeleteThis was awesome. And I love your blog! New follower too! ;)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! Your blog is pretty great too!
DeleteI love the title, "The Candle in the Cloud." It's such a delicate name.

DeleteIt has it's dark moments as well. Barker has a twisted mind.
DeleteSomeone told me about Clive Barker's Abarat and I thought it sounded like an AMAZING concept. So I bought the first two books. And then I was really disappointed by them! I mean, they weren't badly written or anything, I just felt absolutely no connection to the characters... I haven't read any of his other books, so I can't comment on those.
ReplyDeleteBeing a Barker fan is not for everyone. You either get it or you don't. I have some friends that can't get through one of his books. They just don't like it PERIOD. And that's ok with me.
DeleteClive Barker is amazing. Nice pimp!
ReplyDeleteHe is, isn't he!?
DeleteMy husband is a big fan of Clive Barker and I was surprised to really like the Crazies--could have something to do with Timothy Olyphant :)Thanks for the follow at Falling For Fiction!
ReplyDeleteT. Olyphant is pretty good-looking!
DeleteNo prob about the follow, it's amazing stuff you have there. Thanks for stopping by.
Call of Duty seems to be everywhere I look! I am afraid to buy it because I may stop writing. lol
ReplyDeleteI noticed that you are reading, 'The Walking Dead.' Do you follow the series as well? I do, although I am disappointed with the last few episodes of season 2.
I didn't like seeing the writers kill off Shane and the older gentleman. I suppose it is their way of introducing new characters in season 3.
As for that, I suspect that Darryl's brother, the one who cut his hand off, will be back. I look forward to season 3. How about you?
I love the TV series as well as the comics. They are trying to follow the comics as close as possible and killing of Shane follows the comic. Killing off Dale was a shock because he doesn't die until later in the comics.
DeleteI'm not sure about Merle (Daryl's brother) Daryl isn't even in the comics as of yet.
Season 3 is going to be awesome if it follows the comics. So many surprises on the show makes it great!
That is an impressive list of curses and charms! Loving your posts!
ReplyDeleteMy C
Thanks! Your are great too!
DeleteGreat post! I am a sci-fi nut but am not into the games eventhough Call of Duty commercials are everywhere.
ReplyDeletedreamweaver
I don't play it but help my kids maneuver through the game. Nobody wants me to play. I'm terrible.
DeleteGeez, I forgot what I was going to say once you listed all the curses; impressive! I had to answer a lot of questions about that COD and the zombie stuff when I worked for ChaCha and KGB (the text answering service, not the Russians). I was an expert without ever having played it for awhile.
ReplyDeleteShannon at The Warrior Muse, co-host of the 2012 #atozchallenge! Twitter: @AprilA2Z
Oh I remember those KGB commercials! Working for the Russians would be cool too but more deadly.
DeleteI'm bummed that you forgot what you were going to say. Apparently my charms list "charmed" you. Lol, what a lame joke.
Clive Barker... is one strange but fascinating dude I interviewed him in the late 90's for a show I was working on... we talked only about the book Cabal and how it became the film "Nightbreed"...
