Express Yourself is a weekly meme. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better, to help motivate one another, laugh (or cry) together, in other words – stalk.
Sept. 26-30: You have to listen to ONE song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This one is so hard cause my music changes with my moods and I can be "moody" when it comes to my music.
But I think I would either choose:
Sail - AWOLNATION
or
If I Had A Heart - Fever Ray
Hope everyone is having a great Autumn so far and is as excited as I am about October!!

What Songs Get You Moving?
Hey Blogging Friends! Express Yourself is a weekly meme. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better, to help motivate one another, laugh (or cry) together, in other words – stalk.
Aug. 10-14: What song makes you want to dance as soon as you hear it?
There are, of course, lots of songs that make me want to move my rump-shaker, but I would have to say there are different songs that do different things for me.
Like, Summer Breeze by Seals & Crofts and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd make me feel like a little girl again, listening to it on my parents vinyl while my mom is cleaning the house.
2Pak, 69 Boys, Bones, Thugs & Harmony makes me think about my going to the teen clubs when I was in HS.
Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana gets me all nostalgic for a pair of baggie, ripped up jeans, and an oversized flannel.
HS holds so many good songs and memories for me, I think those are the songs which get me moving the most. The ones that bring back some really good memories.

Express Yourself - Featured Music
Express Yourself is a weekly Meme hosted by my friend Jackie and myself. We do this every week to learn more about our fellow bloggers and so far we have met some very talented and wonderful people!
This weeks question: What Band, Singer, or Group would be featured MOST in your WIP and/or Life?
This is hard because I love a huge variety of music for my writing and even more for my life.
I guess I would pick System of a Down, Toxicity album for my Current WIP Occupiers
And for my for Life it would probably be, aaaaarg, this is so hard to pick one... I should totally cheat and pick a whole bunch of different music that fits my life but I think the Band that fits perfect would be The Beatles. What? Is that too predictable?
Live, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, CCR, Prince, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band... these have also been sketched into lifeline along the way. But the Beatles run in my veins.

Express Yourself - Anticipating
It's Monday the 21st which means ...Happy Martin Luther King Day!
... and...
Another week of Express Yourself! This week Jackie and I want to know: Are there any books, movies, or music you are anticipating this year?
Oh jeez! There are a shat load of movies I can't wait to lay my eyes on... (the ones in bold are the ones I will pay theater prices to go see).
Last night I finished reading Grace Lost by M. Lauryl Lewis. It's a great read and was FREE from Amazon! It's not a typical zombie novel. This had a few twists in it; the MC, Zoe, has an unusual "talent". There are some heart wrenching moments as well, like any good zombie horror book. Not everyone survives and it leaves you with a huge cliff hanger. Also, you have to overlook some typo's and a few missing words but still an awesome read. Installment two will be out Spring of this year, so I'm anticipating Tainted Grace along with so many other sequels for so many other series.
I also NEED to get my hands on Deadline by Mira Grant so I can be caught up when Blackout comes out in May of this year.
Also I WANT to read Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin. Ashfall was so remarkable that I need to read the second book of the Ashfall Trilogy.
Music wise, I'm just waiting for something new and unexpected to hit the airwaves. I want to be in awe of it and feel the NEED to buy the CD asap! I let you know when and if it happens!

Express Yourself - Playlist
This weeks Express Yourself meme (Nov. 5-9) is all about the playlists.
Whether it be in regards to your WIP or your Non-fictional life; we all have a playlist.
While writing some of us listen to music which gets our writing mojo pumping.
In real life there are those songs and lyrics that sing to our souls. Something within these tracks vibrates us to our cores and brings out something alive within our beings.
A lot of those songs which push in our non-fictional life are what also drive our fictional one as well.
Here is my fictional (if I was to do a real life playlist; we would be here all day) playlist for my WIP Occupiers
Quick Synopsis (needs work like everything else) :

Quick Synopsis (needs work like everything else) :
Seventeen year old Reese never had a reason to question her powers before. She chalked it up to being different like her mother. But then her absent father shows up one day with her twin, Rena, who displays the same abilities and a story of an alien planet, Ury, full of Earths doppelgangers. The very idea is ridiculous, impossible, and far-fetched. However, try telling that to Reese who thinks anything is possible.
After learning they are not the only Twinning left with abilities, Reese and Rena must now travel through time to find The Merged. Hidden in the cracks of the past, the others hold the key and the power to the future. The girls will not only find Time Flashing difficult to master but even more daunting to complete on a different planet. Can The Merged be saved before too much time passes?

Two planets merge. One holds peace. One holds pain. Can two girls hold it together?

What Am I Listening To
So it’s one of THOSE mornings where I plug my ears with my earbud’s, put my head down and barrel through my day at work. Hopefully unscathed.
In honor of all the songs I’ve been listening to, I’ve written some of the lyrics down (each color is a different song). You’re job – if you choose to accept – (without cheating) guess what I’ve been jammin’ to.
This message will self-destruct once you’ve commented. Commencing 3… 2… 1…
How you gonna win, when you ain't right within?!
How you gonna win, when you ain't right within?!
How you gonna win, when you ain't right within?!
Unh-Unhh Come Again!
Oh that’s it
Now honey, honey come ride
DKNY, all up in my eye
You gotta a Prada bag with a lotta stuff in it
You got, you got, you got, you got, you got
You got the boomin’ system but it’s blastin out doo
Do you think it’s chocolate milk, but it’s watered down yoohoo
I been through many times for which I through I might lose it
The only thing that saved me, has always been music
We got our studio, it’s under the G, it’s no question
Life’s been good to me ‘cuz life ain’t nothing but a good groove
A good mix tape to put you in the right mood
I need someone to show me the things in life that
I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness
I must be blind Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal
And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but it's too late
Nine o’clock this morning
She left without warning
I let her take advantage of me
You see, she got what she wanted
Reaching out for something to hold
Looking for love where the climate is cold
Manic moves and drowsy dreams
Or living in the middle between the two extremes
Today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda, somehow, realized what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now.
Outside’s the rain, the driving snow
I can hear the wild wind blowing
Turn out the light, bolt the door
I ain’t going out there no more.
