Friday! I can't believe it's here already! Woot! VikLit always puts on a great Friday celebration!
This week...
- My son got the cameras he needed for his photography class, which would have cost me an arm and a leg if I didn't know great people that would lend theirs to him!
- Color Me Rad was awesome! Go here to read about my blog post on it!
- My mom is taking the kids tonight so the hubby and I can have date night! I want to watch a scary movie.
- Today is Confessions day! See below my confessions.
And with it being Friday, August 30th, the Confessions bloghop is here!
Jackie @Bouquet of Books and I have so much fun hosting blogfests that we decided it was time to do another one. This one is geared toward confessions...
These are my confessions **cue Usher music**
A confession is a statement made by someone, usually a personal fact that they would not prefer to keep hidden.
My first confession is a little risque. Ready?
When I was a junior I found out my boyfriend of two years had been cheating on me. And you know what they say about a woman scorn...
While in "the throws" of foreplay one evening when his parents were out, I had my chance to get even. Wicked even. Let's just say that while he was expecting to get his way, I got mine by giving him a golden shower. (who says revenge is best served cold)
I know what you guys are thinking... WTF! But he had it coming. He shoved me off of him and screamed WTF (but not in acronym form). I smiled coyly at him and while putting my clothes on, I explained I had found out about him and "the-girl-that-shall-not-be-named". He looked at me with wide bright eyes and sunk to his bed. I finished getting ready, grabbed my purse and walked out.
That was the end of him.
On a more not-so-scanky-note, I will confess that I put things in the grocery cart just to keep my 3 yr old from throwing a fit but when she's not looking I put them back. Don't look at me like that! She forgets about them anyways.
Want to confess? And remember... a confession is usually something you're not proud of (or maybe your are) so give us some dirt.
It's not too late to join! Go here to find out all the details.
Have a good weekend!

I've done the grocery cart/put stuff in/take stuff out thing with my youngest, but now he knows since he's older. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOmg what a revenge! Haha. Definitely a dish served hot.
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit I had to google golden shower to know what you were talking about. Wow. Sweet revenge. Now I have to go back and rethink the confession I was going to post- sounds kind of lame after that one. :)
ReplyDeleteEwww, go Dani! lol
ReplyDeleteIf it keeps her from crying, do it! I remember my niece loved one of my dolls, and I think I did give it to her, but I wanted it back, so when she wasn't looking, I switched it with another. She turned, stared at it, then started playing with it. lol
I came for the celebrations, which a date night is pretty cool. However, I laughed at your confessions, both of them. Not sure which was funnier. I love that you put stuff back when she's not looking.

That is definitely good revenge. Great confessions :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Dani... you just made me feel better about giving my ex-boyfriend's dog to the animal shelter when I found out he was cheating on me (hey, he shouldn't have left the poor thing at my house). LOL Oh, and enjoy what precious few months you have left of returning grocery items back to the shelves. My kid is 4 and he DOES NOT FORGET anymore... ugh, it's especially expensive when we go to Target.
ReplyDeleteYikes. See, this is why I avoided the whole getting serious thing until I was married. It worked out well for me.
ReplyDeleteThat is some wicked revenge! I nearly shot hot coffee out my nose reading that! I agree that he deserved it, and I bet he never forgot it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the shopping thing, I do that all the time!
That's an evil act Dani. He definitely shouldn't have cheated on you. Glad your son was able to get what he needed and enjoy date night!
ReplyDeleteWow, talk about revenge! And aww, you get to have a date night tonight? Awesome--hope you have fun!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny. That's great. (Reminder to self: Never piss off Dani) :) Oh look at that, I didn't even use that word on purpose, but it works. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I've done the grocery store thing too.
Enjoy your date night!
ReplyDeleteThose were very funny confessions. Whereas your daughter will soon forget, I doubt the guy ever will... Have a great date & scary movie night! :-)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I love how you got your revenge, and he deserved it too! I might have to try your shopping method with my daughter. Why do they always want something every time you go out?
ReplyDeleteLOL - smart that it went down at his place and not yours. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat movie did you and your husband watch???
Love your confession story :) Classic.
