EYM & Top Ten Tuesday

EYM – Last three weeks

June 9-13: Use ONE adjective to describe yourself.
Steadfast

June 16-20: What the scariest movie you’ve watched or book you’ve read that made you unable to sleep?
Recently - The Conjuring – Yeah, that movie had me swearing at the TV and hiding behind my fingers!!
Before The Conjuring, the only other movie that wigged my ass out was The Fourth Kind – still the scariest movie I have ever seen, and trust me, I have watched A LOT of frightening, blood thirsty, horror fest movies in my life time. The Forth Kind made my husband and I sleep with the lights – no shit!! Aliens *shiver*

June 23-27: What’s the last book you read? If you want, please give a small review for us. How many stars, etc etc.
The last book I read (finished audiobook yesterday) was Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. It only took me about 2 months to finish it cause, like the first book – Discovery of WitchesShadow of Night started off SO slow. However, I was hooked about ½ way thru!! It finished really well. If you are a history fanatic and love reading Elizabethan literature with witches, vamp and demons – this series is for you! WARNING – lots and lots of historian filler, very descriptive!! It even brings real life 16th century Elizabethans to life! ß Very interesting!

EYM - Last One in May & June

May 26-30: Which AtoZ post and/or blogger did you really enjoy this year?

This might sound a little bias but I really enjoyed doing Cover Girls AtoZ theme. Every year Jax and I take turns picking out 26 different novel covers – no repeats, that we find appealing in our own ways. I chose 13 and Jax selects 13. It’s first come first serve on our alphabet chart. Sometimes we take each other’s letter of choice and sometimes we even pick the same title the other one was thinking about. Then we each give a short expression of what we love about it. Not only is it fun but also very informational! I get to find out what and why Jax handpicks the books she does and I get to find out what she thinks about the novels I selected.

June 2-9: Any fave video games? Not a gamer, then what are your top board games, cards, etc you enjoy?

I like playing Mario Cart (or anything Mario) on Wii and I enjoy playing Liars Dice and several app games. But my favorite thing to do and watch the kids or my honey play video games cause they are so entertaining to watch.

Express Yourself - May - Catching Up

Busy, busy, busy! The end of the school year and beginning of summer has consumed my life lately. But I finally have some time to catch up on my EYM posts!

May 5-9: Choose one of your fave books. Turn to page 89. What are the eigth & ninth sentences?

I’ve either been listening to Audiobooks or catching up on my e-reads which means my page count will be off. So I have opted to pick two lines from Grace Lost by Lauryl M. Lewis…

Gus broke our reunion. “I think we should get out of this place. They’ve been dead awhile. Nothing in here is going to be salvageable.”

May 12-16: Pick one fictional character who you think reflects your personality.

This is hard because I connect with a lot of characters but the one I love the most because she reminds me so much of myself is Aphrodite from the House of Night series by P.C. and Kristen Cast.

And to be caught up all the way, this week’s questions is (drum roll please)…

May 19-23: Have you ever known someone or dated someone who could be a celebrity twin?

Yes. My first husband looks exactly like Billy Corgan when he shaved his head and he was even a singer in a band who was signed by Universal Records and even has a song on American Pie 2.

AND… If Nascar stud, Dale Jr and singer, Justin Timberlake were to have a baby together… my husband would be the result. Hubba hubba!
