This week (Jan. 14-18) Jackie and I would like to know - Are there Any writing books you recommend to your fellow writers?
Not a writer, then what books do recommend to your fellow readers?
I'm a writer but I've never actually held a book which told be how to write correctly. I don't believe in "correct" or "not correct" ways of writing. I think writing should be expressed freely and openly without judgement. But
unfortunately... that's not always the case. It has to be understood and grab your attention. Anyways I do most of my research online so I don't have any books to share on subject. Sorry.
But some good books to read...
The Matched Trilogy by Ally Condie
Soul Screamers Series by Rachel Vincent
Trylle Series by Amanda Hocking
Anything by Neal Shusterman
Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness
What books do you recommend for writing? You don't? Then what books do you recommend for reading? You want to recommend for both! Go right ahead! You can do both.
We are no longer using the Linky Thingy for our EYM's for now. But we want you to continue participating of course! We love reading and connecting with you all. Don't forget to leave a comment so we can find your posts. And if you aren't posting... leave a comment anyways, like usual!
Have a great Monday!
I haven't read any of those, though I have Matched on my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteWhat's your favorite out of the bunch?
My fave author is Shusterman. My fave series listed is Chaos
DeleteI have the Matched trilogy and the first book of the soul screamer and chaos walking series. I'm a big fan of writing craft books. I find they've help my writing in big ways. I think back to my early books and cringe at how naive I was about the craft.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will have to get my hands on more writing bks!
DeleteBig Hockings fan! Harry Potter is one of the books I'd recommend.
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter is classic.
DeleteThere are a couple on your list I haven't read yet...going to have to pick them up! There are some writing books I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYay for new TBR adders! What are some of your fave writing bks?
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but now I have some books to add to my "To Be Read" list. Thanks!

Thanks for adding your link!
DeleteYou haven't read any of these? Glad to help out on your TBR!
I need to read Amanda Hocking! I still can't believe I haven't yet...
ReplyDeleteI know everyone mentions it, but I'd say Stephen King's On Writing. I like how it's kind of intertwined with an autobiography, which makes it more relatable and fun than some craft books. And great advice!
ReplyDeleteLove the Ness books.
