Reminds me of the Olsen twins song "Brother for sale, only 50 cents. The poem was funny and that cover choice you made left me curious about the book as well.
Freakling is a great read. I hope you enjoy it! I met Lana at WIFYR last summer. And that poem, my oldest would happily sell off his youngest sister: it's been one of those days.
That's a great poem. My sister and I hardly spoke through our high school years. I was a bit too weird for my super cool and very popular younger sister. She is three years my junior and our fashion and musical tastes were diametrically opposed. I was the greasy rocker and she the lover of ra-ra skirts and bubblegum pop. Now however, I think she is bonkers and phenomenal in equal measure.
That book looks steampunky. I always liked that Silverstein poem, being the oldest of five and all. Though it was brothers I'd be selling. My baby sister was only 4 when I got married and moved out.
I am really enjoying this blog (when I can get here- sheesh! there's a lot of AtoZers!!) It's fun to revisit these old poems from my childhood. And I have an 8-year-old now who also loves Silverstein...

I have two daughters that fight incessantly. I can picture one of them doing this.
