I'm at a Meeting ALL Day - Let's Celebrate!

Today - ALL DAY - I will not be at home, or sitting in my cubicle at work. I will be at a companywide meeting in some huge room with over 700+ co-workers. Our workplace does this every year. It's quite boring but we get free food all day, alcohol at the end of the day, and BONUS's! So I mean it's not all bad. Unfortunately this means I cannot blog-a-round today and visit and leave comments but I promise that I WILL stop by!
VikLit @ Scribblings of an Aspiring Author weekly Meme Celebrate the Small Things has arrived!

Each Friday, post in your blog something you wish to celebrate | achieve | do that week. It can be anything from writing | reading | simple life thing as cleaning out a sock drawer.
This week I celebrate...
  • I finished an audio version of Wither bk 1 of the Chemical Garden series by Lauren DeStefano which turned out to be a pleasant surprise and book 2 (audio); Fever is on hold at the library and book 3; Sever in the background. I like to audio so I can get a few books in at work.

  • I started Deadline (book 2) of the Newsflesh series by Mira Grant but it's a slow read. Not because it's an awful book but because it's not an easy one. See the difference? It has a lot of mystery and subplots on top of subplots and I don't want to miss anything. Blackout is in the waiting. Book 1; Feed, was fantastic!

  • I took a half day off on Monday and spent it will the kids. It was fun to spend a little extra time with them!
  • Today is BONUS day!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a great weekend.

  1. A huge meeting with over 700 coworkers, you must be drained when you get home.
Good job with the audiobooks, this is something that I've never tried but might be good for in the car. Or at work.
    Have a great weekend.

  5. We get bonuses today as well, but most of mine was taxed off me, and the rest has to go towards fixing my car. But, it's money I wouldn't have had otherwise :)
I've read Wither but haven't read the second yet, need to get started on it!

  11. May you enjoy good food and strong drink and not make foolish of yourself in front of co-workers! May the bonus be big enough to spoil the kids a wee bit.

  12. woot woot for Bonus day!
That's awesome about your reading achievements! I'd like to try the audio route when I'm at work, too... not sure how that'd go over though! LOL

  16. Hi Dani,
So I'm an idiot with too much to do and no brain left. ALREADY FOLLOWING YOUR BLOG. Sigh. I follow a LOT, so I don't make it around all that often, I'm not a ninja like Alex...but thanks for putting up with me anyway.
The Engineer has company meetings like this. I think I could survive since there's alcohol at the end of the day...
By the way, reading your profile (apparently again...) you had me at "tats" and "over the top". I've been described as over the top, and I have far fewer tattoos than I wish I did, but I have a lot plans...just no money...Currently have to be content with my fabulous sunflower on my ankle with my boys initials worked into the vine on the inside of my ankle. I get lots of compliments...and yes, as you know, that part on the Achilles tendon was...painful.
