A to Z - Call of Duty to Centres of Faith

Call of Duty Black Ops
Zombie cooperation mode, titled Zombies, is included in the game. Originally featured in World at War, it was revamped to be included into Black Ops. In the map Five, players take the roles of John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro as they fight zombies at The Pentagon. Ascension takes place in an abandoned Soviet Cosmodrome, and like Kino der Toten, features the characters from World at War. Escalation Map Pack is the Zombie map Call of The Dead. Call of the Dead takes place in an abandoned part of the Soviet Union, in which is in an arctic environment. This map features new characters. They are: Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Michael Rooker. Rezurrection is made up of only zombie maps. The Rezurrection Map Pack includes the first 4 maps from Call of Duty: World at War (Swamp, Night, Asylum, Factory) and a new map called Moon.
My kids are addicted to this game, even my two year old daughter!

Centres of Faith

(Gamla Uppsala)
The Germanic tribes rarely or never had temples in a modern sense. The Blót, the form of worship practiced by the ancient Germanic and Scandinavian people, resembled that of the Celts and Balts. It occurred either in sacred groves, at home, or at a simple altar of piled stones known as a "horgr." However, there seem to have been a few more important centres, such as Skiringssal, Lejre and Uppsala. Adam of Bremen claims that there was a temple at Uppsala with three wooden statues of Odin, Thor and Freyr.

  1. The Crazies is such a creepy good movie!
Black Ops is my oldest fave game. It's funny listening to him and his friends through the headset, especially when they play tricks on each other. LOL

    1. Norse mythology is very interesting. I've loved mythology ever since I was a little girl and my dad had this book about the solar system and it also showed the various Gods that they represent.

  12. Someone told me about Clive Barker's Abarat and I thought it sounded like an AMAZING concept. So I bought the first two books. And then I was really disappointed by them! I mean, they weren't badly written or anything, I just felt absolutely no connection to the characters... I haven't read any of his other books, so I can't comment on those.

    1. Being a Barker fan is not for everyone. You either get it or you don't. I have some friends that can't get through one of his books. They just don't like it PERIOD. And that's ok with me.

  15. Call of Duty seems to be everywhere I look! I am afraid to buy it because I may stop writing. lol

I noticed that you are reading, 'The Walking Dead.' Do you follow the series as well? I do, although I am disappointed with the last few episodes of season 2.

I didn't like seeing the writers kill off Shane and the older gentleman. I suppose it is their way of introducing new characters in season 3.

As for that, I suspect that Darryl's brother, the one who cut his hand off, will be back. I look forward to season 3. How about you?

    1. I love the TV series as well as the comics. They are trying to follow the comics as close as possible and killing of Shane follows the comic. Killing off Dale was a shock because he doesn't die until later in the comics.

I'm not sure about Merle (Daryl's brother) Daryl isn't even in the comics as of yet.

Season 3 is going to be awesome if it follows the comics. So many surprises on the show makes it great!

  18. Geez, I forgot what I was going to say once you listed all the curses; impressive! I had to answer a lot of questions about that COD and the zombie stuff when I worked for ChaCha and KGB (the text answering service, not the Russians). I was an expert without ever having played it for awhile.

    1. Oh I remember those KGB commercials! Working for the Russians would be cool too but more deadly.

I'm bummed that you forgot what you were going to say. Apparently my charms list "charmed" you. Lol, what a lame joke.

  19. Clive Barker... is one strange but fascinating dude I interviewed him in the late 90's for a show I was working on... we talked only about the book Cabal and how it became the film "Nightbreed"...
